2023 Dodge Challenger GT vs 2023 Dodge Challenger R/T

Serving Midwest City, OK

The Dodge Challenger has been an iconic muscle car since its debut in 1970. After a production hiatus, the model was revived in 2008 with modern features, classic styling, and advanced engineering. Since then, Dodge has continued to improve the Challenger to increase its appeal year after year. The 2023 Dodge Challenger is available in five trims: the SXT, GT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, and SRT Hellcat. A closer look at the Challenger GT and the Challenger R/T can help you make your next car selection with full confidence.

Performance

The 2023 Dodge Challenger GT has the same powertrain as the base SXT trim. This 303-horsepower, V6, 3.6-liter engine has an eight-speed auto transmission and optional all-wheel drive. It is also equipped with performance enhancements for the brakes, steering, and suspension system. The 2023 Dodge Challenger R/T is outfitted with a V8, 5.7-liter engine. This engine produces 372 horsepower with the auto eight-speed transmission and 375 horsepower with the manual six-speed transmission. It has all of the mechanical features at the GT trim and adds an active performance exhaust system.

Appearance

The 2023 Challenger GT and R/T are identical from front to rear. This two-door coupe is recognizable on the road with its wide frame, road-hugging stance, and sleekly raked roofline. The flat hood is enhanced with a bold hood scoop. The short grille stretches across the entire length of the nose and encapsulates the circular LED headlights. The lower fascia also runs from side to side and holds the small foglamps. Both of these trims come with 20-inch wheels.

Features

The features available in the GT and R/T trim levels are the same. These include cloth performance seats, paddle shifters on the steering wheel, remote engine start, rear parking sensors, a 7-inch central display screen with a Uconnect system, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, a push-button ignition, a six-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
